Leonardo Buff , a Brazilian theologist once asked the Dalia lama when they were discussing about freedom and religion that " What is religion " expecting
he would say " The Tibetan Buddhism " or " The oriental religions much older than Christianity " .But to his amazement he answered
" the best religion is that which gets you closest to the truth , which makes you a better person "
As a person who got puzzled by this uncanny answer Buff questioned " What makes me a better person "

the religion that will do that for you is the best religion.
He became silent for a moment and went deep into his thoughts then Lama spoke
" I am not interested my dear friend , to which religion you belong but i want only how you behave in front of your peers , family , friends , community and the world .
The universe is the echo of our actions and thoughts .The law of action and reaction not only for physics but also valid for human relations.If I give good , i get good.If i give evil , i get evil."
" Being happy is not a matter of destiny but it is a matter of options.."
The above conversation summarizes what i feel about religion.Religion is not something which holds you but it is that which you hold in the process of becoming better in your life's journey .Any religion which takes away your freedom of living, which will not permit the debate and argument of its origins , which is above history and not a part in it is fundamentally opposite to what a religion should be.To me there is no religion higher than the truth "
ఒక సారి "అందరి బంధు వయ" అనే సినిమా చూడరా. దాంట్లో నరేష్ చెప్పుతాడు మతం అంటే ఏమిటో ( మనిషికింత ముద్ద, పక్షికింత ధాన్యం, పసువుకింత గ్రాసం దానం చెయ్యటం. అదే మతమంటే!). మంచి నిజం కదా. ఎందుకంటే మన జీవితం లో ఎక్కువగా నేర్చుకున్నది నేర్చుకోనేది సినిమా ల ద్వారానే కదా.
